Duckzy wins a seventh, and the Wildcard Open goes exactly to form

Duckzy took the July Wildcard Open from #9, moving up to #7 and collecting a seventh title.

It was the chalk night of the summer. Every quarterfinal went to the higher-ranked battler, both semifinals did too, and the final was the two best ranks left standing.

The bracket

• Quarterfinal — Aaron (#17) def. KTG (#103)
• Quarterfinal — Kuulest (#22) def. VOX (#122)
• Quarterfinal — TRC (#45) def. Sharkzz (#63)
• Quarterfinal — Duckzy (#9) def. Calavrox (#225)
• Semifinal — Aaron def. Kuulest
• Semifinal — Duckzy def. TRC
• Final — Duckzy def. Aaron

What the night changed

• Duckzy — #9 → #7, record 54–28 → 57–28, win rate 66% → 67%, titles 6 → 7
• Aaron — #17 → #16, record 14–7 → 16–8
• Kuulest — held #22, three titles behind them
• TRC — #45 → #43

Worth noting who went out early: VOX, champion of the Challenger Cup two weeks earlier, drew Kuulest in the quarterfinal and was gone in one battle.
